Adopting a horse (or any animal) is not a decision to be taken lightly.  Here at Mustang Mission, we offer many benefits for the adopters of our wild equines.  We want our adopters to feel supported and to know how grateful we are that they have chosen to give a mustang a life-long home.  Our list of benefits below is just the beginning!


❤️  Lifetime support (training help, care and holistic equine welfare tips, etc.)

❤️  A formerly wild equine that will be your new best friend and a well-trained companion!

❤️  You will receive an adoption package: a free horse training course from a nationally recognized horse trainer, feed and supplements that the horse has been used to, flyers with a short story about your horse and its journey from the wild that you can share with others, and some special surprise add-ons depending on the horse you adopt!

❤️  Adopting a wild horse from Mustang Mission gives us the room to save another.  By adopting a mustang, you save a mustang!

❤️  The adoption fee you pay is a small way you can support Mustang Mission and reward all the time and effort we put into giving you the best horse possible.

❤️  During the time you spend at Mustang Mission prior to the adoption, you will get to understand your new horse and how it’s been trained and cared for.  You will also learn why we step away from standard horse care practices to ensure our horses live healthy, happy, long lives.

❤️  We will deliver your adopted horse to you (if you live over four hours away, a small fee for fuel may be required).

Ember is available for adoption!  This is your chance to own a very special little mustang!  Ember is great on the ground and has been started lightly undersaddle.  She is very well desensitized and absolutely loves people, attention, activity, and adventures.  She is very easy to handle and works hard to please people.  Ember is very good with children and has been a part of my family’s farm field trips for children.  She is easygoing, gentle, fun, curious, and brave - with a bit of spice! 😁 Ember is from the Goshute HMA (Herd Management Area) in Nevada.  She is 13hh and would be best suited for a smaller rider.  Despite her size, though, she is very strong and has a long stride!  Instead of listing all that Ember can do, I’ve made a video for you to watch ! Freedom Given Back: Renegade's Story

Freedom Given Back ----------- In south Oregon, lives one of the most magnificent wild horse herds - an opinion held by many wild horse lovers.  The South Steens Wild Horse Herd is home to some of the most intricately-colored pinto horses - pintos that you never knew could exist.  The mustangs’ home is a spectacular location mainly composed of canyons, but with a harsh climate.  For centuries, only the strongest mustangs have survived. This wild horse herd is followed closely, and in 2006, an adorable blue roan pinto was born.  People all over the country fell in love with this colt and began following his life.  Excitement grew as he became a bachelor, then a band stallion and father.  Renegade thrived in his wild home and lived for his freedom and family. Update on the Cumberland Island Wild Horses

It's been nearly ten months since the lawsuit against the National Park Service (NPS) began, which subsequently began my campaign to save Cumberland Island's Wild Horses.  I launched a petition in April, which now has 1,800+ signatures.  I began visiting the island regularly and recently released a document on my observations and research there.  Visiting Cumberland Island gave me a fun opportunity to film episodes which I've posted on Mustang Mission's Patreon!  I continue to learn so much about the horses and the beautiful island they inhabit. Over the past several months, I have communicated with the NPS.  Currently, they cannot discuss the horses due to the litigation, but have been open to hearing about my research. I have also sent my research to the person over the lawsuit and asked if we could discuss the horses again (we had a long conversation in spring).  I was told that there was no interest in speaking to me.
